Does “same day” mean a specific arrival time?
No. You can request pickup now or choose a pickup time for today. A driver accepting the request confirms the direct job, and delivery happens after collection. Next-day requests use a pickup window instead.
Why is next-day delivery $9?
Next-day requests use a flexible pickup window, which lets drivers plan ahead. The trip is still one driver from pickup to recipient, and it must still be accepted before it is confirmed.
What can I send?
Small, sealed packages up to 10 kg: keys, documents, a small Marketplace purchase, a print job, or another ordinary item. Do not send cash, alcohol, cannabis, weapons, prescription medication, hazardous goods, or irreplaceable valuables. The full list is in the Terms.
Does the recipient need an account?
No. A recipient only needs a phone number. If pilot email notifications are live, adding their email lets us send status messages. They never need to create an account just to receive something.
What happens if no driver accepts?
Your request remains unclaimed rather than pretending it is in motion. Include your email so you can see the status. Do not rely on GuelphDrops for a hard deadline until a driver has accepted the job.
What if no one is at the door?
A photo-proof request may be safely dropped only where your note permits it. A PIN request requires the recipient to meet the driver. If neither can happen, the driver keeps the package secure and operations helps arrange the next step.
Who sees our addresses and phone numbers?
The assigned driver sees the details needed for that job. We use recipient contact details for delivery updates, not marketing. Read the privacy policy for retention and access details.
